Gallery ChangMiddletown, New York

The Middletown, New York location of Gallery Chang. We designed the space and built it, from the first layout drawing to the opening show.

The building had character worth keeping, so we let it show. The original brick wall stays exposed along one side, and the ceiling stays open with the ductwork and pipes painted to sit quietly overhead. Against that, we built clean white walls, a dark accent wall along the stair and freestanding display walls that break the long room into places to stop and look. Track lighting runs the full length so every piece is lit on its own.
