GoGoJang
GoGoJang is a café in Midtown Manhattan built around a clear concept: 1980s retro style blended with today's clean, modern look. It is a space full of feeling. Soft pastel walls, bold diagonal stripes, a round window cut through the wall, glowing neon light lines, chrome diner stools and a vintage red wall phone come together in a warm, nostalgic mood that guests want to stay in and photograph.
Every detail was built to carry that mood. Benches, counter faces and columns are clad in square tile with contrasting grout lines, so the layout had to be set out precisely before a single tile went down. We built the space from bare shell to opening day: framing, finishes, millwork, lighting and the service counter.
